Getting Stuff Done

If you’re like me, the day starts with a monumental set of personal and work tasks to do.

Don’t worry – this is not going to be a post about the joy of getting it all done.  That’s not my life and I don’t think I’d find a lot of joy in having so little to do.  No, my day will likely end with at least as much on the list as when I started, because I’m adding things all day even as I’m finishing other things.

The joy for me is in getting stuff done.  Not just any stuff of course, but the important, highest priority stuff.  A truly satisfying day is when nothing on the list got done because more important stuff came up and I recognized it and had the freedom to attend to it.
