Today I saw a 4-year-old girl guarding her toddler brother. Their dad was nearby with the toddler’s twin, but the one boy kept breaking away and heading off on his own. Each time, his sister chased after him and herded him back.
Of course they only ever went about 3 feet from the dad, but her careful attention to her brother and her determination to rescue him were inspiring. That she herself was a small child and just as likely to get lost as her brother clearly never entered her mind. What are limitations when you have a mission?
